The Witches of Riegersburg is a work of historical fiction set from the seventeenth to the early twentieth centuries, as well as the modern-day, and it was penned by author Julie Anne Stratton. The novel is suitable for adult readers due to some scenes of a sexual nature and one particularly harrowing scene of torture and violence. This time-spanning novel focuses on several characters and concepts, all brought together by Sarah, a young American woman who discovers an inherited book of shadows. Sarah's investigation into the book leads her to follow her grandmother's origins to Austria, where she delves back in time to discover the persecution of witches and what that really means.
Author Julie Anne Stratton has crafted a compelling tale of self-discovery, family history and heart with just a little touch of magic along the way. Sarah makes for a blank slate kind of heroine whom we can follow on her journey of self-discovery as she heeds the calling from her Oma and begins her quest to uncover the secret of the book and the place it came from. The prose is beautifully crafted with fine word choices that give emotion and atmosphere to every scene, and the presentation of Riegersburg is vibrant and enveloping in both past and present. Overall, this is a well-researched and well-plotted drama with plenty of genre-crossing content to please readers of all kinds. I'd definitely recommend The Witches of Riegersburg for fans of historical, family saga, drama and interpersonal narrative styles of fiction.

The Witches of Riegersburg is a thrilling, compelling, and memorable historical tale that will take the reader on an epic, unforgettable journey that will shock as well as entertain readers from start to finish! The Witches of Riegersburg is a sensational novel that has a classic, effortless feel to it that made it a joy to read and had me reading nonstop. As I read this book I did not want it to end, I was enchanted by the author’s incredible words from the first page, and this is all thanks to his addictive plot and extraordinary characters! That is why already I have to implore you lovely readers to read this book! However, if you need more convincing then continue to read to learn more.

Sarah’s journey is packed full of history about the persecution of witches and many revelations are revealed especially about her family history and it makes for an unforgettable and thrilling read that shouldn’t be missed, and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible The Witches of Riegersburg!
The Witches of Riegersburg is an incredible novel that has an in-depth plot, and I have to say, I adore this! Julie Anne Stratton is an incredible author for her ability to write such an in-depth novel and she is a brilliant talent for her ability to grab the reader’s attention effortlessly and quickly! I found the plot of this book to be captivating, it absorbed me very early on and I never once got bored. This again is all thanks to Julie Anne Stratton and her great talent for writing historical fiction with a twist! Stratton truly is an incredible author who has created a fantastic, brilliant story and it is evident to me that Stratton has invested an enormous amount of time into her novel because it is perfectly executed and full of vibrant, descriptive scenes and well-developed characters!
The Witches of Riegersburg has everything the reader would want in a read and so much more; it has spine-tingling good content, dynamic, memorable characters, an incredible author who writes beautifully and wonderfully so, and lastly it is an all-around, entertaining, unforgettable read!
